Find scumbag filmed repeatedly punching dog in the face

Police are hunting a man filmed launching a savage attack on a dog outside a pub.

Jamie Hill, 40, from Bournemouth in Dorset, had a warrant issued for his arrest after failing to show up to court charged with causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal over the incident last April.

CCTV footage shows the dog wandering into Bournemouth’s Buffalo Bar before a woman sitting in the beer garden puts out her cigarette and briefly follows it inside.

Moments after the dog comes back out and sniffs around the patio a man in a blue hooded jumper holding a lead grabs the animal and smashes it against the metal railings and punches it in the face three times. He then lifts it up off the ground by its neck and marches it off down the street as a shocked onlooker briefly follows close behind.

Police have now launched a fresh appeal to try and find the man, who is described as white, around 5ft 9ins tall and of medium build with short greying brown hair.

PC Emily Watkins said: ‘We have carried out numerous enquiries to locate Jamie Hill but these have so far been unsuccessful.

‘I am urging anyone with information as to his whereabouts, or who sees a man matching the description given, to please contact us.

‘While we have no information to suggest that he presents a direct risk to the public, I would urge anyone who sees this man not to approach him but to immediately contact Dorset Police on 999.’
